I don't really understand the problem as it is worded. I'm having trouble understanding what you mean by "wagon." Oscarlevin 14:16, 18 November 2010 (EST)

The wagons can really just be thought of as circles of radius R that are traveling along their centers. This is the terminology used in Arnold's book and I was just sticking to it since I couldn't think of what else to call them. Maybe we can think of something more appropriate or add pictures (the solution badly needs a picture in any case). You should be able to find the original wording of the problem in Amazon's preview of the book along with some nice pictures (I think you can preview it, Amazon appears to be down for me at the moment oddly enough).
