You have a sheet of legal paper of size 8" by 13", having a surface area of 104 square inches, and seven standard sized 3" by 5" index cards, which together have a surface area of 105 square inches. How much of the legal paper can you cover with the seven index cards? You mustn't tear, bend, fold, or otherwise mutilate either the paper or the index cards.

Problem by Alberto L Delgado, from the now extinct Bradley Problem of the Week.
