Saw a puzzle like this on the Maths Is Fun site. Don't know the answer yet.
Puzzle
Somewhere in the English countryside there are six towns. After a surveying trip, scientists were surprised to find that two pairs of the towns were exactly the same distance apart (measured from the town centers, of course). Should they have been surprised?
